Northeast Substance Use Response Coalition recognized as an RCORP Champion

The Northeast Substance Use Response Coalition was recognized at the Rural Communities Health Connections Summit in Washington, DC, as an RCORP Champion. Implementation II & III Project Director KaSandra Hanshaw; and Implementation IV Project Director Carla Terry spoke to over 700 other grantees from 48 states and 3 territories on the work being done through the RCORP Implementations grants in our region.

St. Claire HealthCare, on behalf of the Northeast Kentucky Substance Use Response Coalition, is pleased to announce they have been awarded a $300,000 Core Priorities Grant by the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington, West Virginia. SCH and the Coalition were the only recipients of this grant in Kentucky and only one of four recipients between Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will distribute $1,000,000 to St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) through the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP), on behalf of the Northeast Kentucky Substance Use Response Coalition. SCH is fiscal agent for, and one of eight members of, the coalition.
