Continuing Education (CE) is an element that runs throughout several of our grant-funded projects. When our Coalition was forming, providing educational opportunities to local providers felt like a no-brainer, especially since CE is a cornerstone of the services the Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education (NE KY AHEC) provides. Especially after completing an extensive survey on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) across the service region during our first planning grant (the Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant), we knew providers were seeking out education, particularly opportunities to learn more about MAT.
