Youth prevention education is at the heart of many of our grant-funded projects. By engaging young students early, we aim to disrupt generational cycles of substance misuse and equip them with knowledge to make heathier choices.
This mission is a cornerstone of our Coalition’s work. We take this responsibility seriously and are deeply committed to providing students with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of substance use. Our approach blends structured educational curriculum with powerful, real-life experiences shared by our trusted peer support specialists.
Our current grant projects feature the Generation Rx curriculum, developed by the Cardinal Health Foundation and The Ohio State College of Pharmacy. These engaging, age-appropriate lessons educate students about the dangers of prescription medication misuse, helping them recognize the risks before they begin.
What sets our program apart is the addition of personal stories from local peer support specialists. These firsthand experiences bring the issue to life, showing students not just the dangers of substance misuse but also the resilience and recovery of individuals from their own communities.
Would you like to bring this vital education to your school, club, or youth organization?
